is it worth it?

Yes. This was a fun and inexpensive activity. We attended the Full (2 hour) Lantern Making Class at Tieng Vong Pho Lantern Workshop and assembled the frame ourselves, but there was also an Express (1 hour) Lantern Making Class with pre assembled frames. Each participant chose their frame shape, silks, and pattern. This was the hardest part! An instructor assisted us one on one and checked our progress at the end of each step. The entire team was enthusiastic and kept us laughing. We were sad when our beautiful lanterns were completed and it was time to leave. The bamboo frames folded down to smaller more durable shapes for packing. Our lanterns survived a month of traveling in our backpacks before flying home and arrived in perfect condition.
